Sample Lesson
Your Inner Cheerleader
As explained right at the beginning of this workshop, inside of you, you have two voices, your Authentic Self, which is your Inner Cheerleader and your Ego, also known as your Inner Critic.
The reason we have been focusing on your Ego up until now is because it is your Ego that brings forward not only your self-doubt, but other forms of negativity as well.
Your Ego is designed to hold you back and keep you exactly where you are.
Your Inner Cheerleader though is quite literally the opposite of your Inner Critic.
The Critic wants to keep you down, while the Cheerleader wants to build you up, cheer you on and give you the confidence to go out there and succeed in anything you want to do in life.
When pushed to the foreground, your Inner Cheerleader will make it clear that:
- You can
- You are good enough
- Nobody will judge you
- Nobody will laugh you
- You are clever enough
- You can just go for it
- Change is brilliant and worth the effort
- You absolutely can do that
Remember those power statements?
They are really your Inner Cheerleader coming through, have a read through them again!
I am exactly the right age
I have one left and one right foot, all I need is to relax, have fun and practice
I am worthy, and I deserve this
I have all the smarts I need
I know my worth and I know that I am amazing on the inside and the outside
I have all the will power I need
I have all the resources I need
I have all the money I need
When I try, I may fail, but I will learn and keep trying and I will succeed
There is always another way forward
I absolutely can
I am absolutely capable
Imagine that all these statements were YOUR reality!
Sounds brilliant right!?
I know I’d rather listen to my Inner Cheerleader over my Inner Critic any day of the week – life is so much more fun and fulfilling that way.
